Wastewater Sector
The basic process of treating sludge has not changed for over 100 years, however, advances in technology have made the process more efficient. We already have our first customer, and with more than 2,700 larger wastewater treatment plants across Europe the opportunity for growth is exponential.
Recent research by one of the leading universities in Europe, Zurich University, shows that energy cost for wastewater treatment plants can be reduced in some cases by up to 50% and carbon emissions by 95% through the use of hydrothermal carbonisation (HTC) as a treatment process.
Antaco’s innovative HTC waste processing technology is able to harvest up to 90% of the carbon (energy) from sewage and lock this into a solid biofuel.
