Antaco was voted Best European Early Stage Cleantech Company 2013 by the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT) in November 2013. Antaco, which won the Climate-KIC UK Venture Competition in 2012, fought of stiff competition from other top European finalists to take the coveted prize.

The annual EIT Venture Awards bring together breakthrough innovations and start-ups to compete as part of the annual celebrations of the Institute’s work. The EIT conference is the highlight of the year when the Institute brings together Climate, Energy and ICT Knowledge and Innovation communities to share advancements and facilitate cooperation.

Innovation is the key to growth, competitiveness and social well-being in the 21st century. The ability of society to innovate is crucial in an ever more knowledge-intensive economy. The EIT aims to enhance Europe’s ability to innovate and develop entrepreneurship by creating an environment that allows these two critical elements to flourish in tandem – both as a mind-set and an activity.

Dominik Peus, Chief Executive Officer of Antaco, says “the award is  received in recognition of the years of developing the most efficient process engineering solution to date and the huge potential HTC has to play in the world’s transition to a low carbon economy”.
